Garn: 4-fädiges Sockengarn in drei Farben
Bring street art to your sock knitting! Inspired by Banksy’s iconic Girl with Balloon, these socks feature a bold black-and-white colorwork design with a striking red balloon. A unique statement piece for knitters who love art, graphic designs, and a touch of urban attitude.
The socks are worked in the round from the top down, starting with the colorwork section before adding the cuff, heel, and foot. The colorwork is an intermediate-to-advanced challenge, with up to three colors worked in a round. Alternatively, knit the design in two colors and embroider the red balloon afterward.
Sizes: EU 36/37–48/49 (7 size ranges)
Yarn: Fingering-weight sock yarn (4-ply) in three colors:
Needles: 2.25 mm and 2.5 mm double-pointed needles, or circular needles in the same sizes. Needle sizes are recommendations and can be adjusted to achieve your preferred fabric.
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced colorwork (4/5); basic sock-knitting skills required.
The pattern is written for double-pointed needles. Toe-up knitting is possible but is not explained in the instructions.
